School Energy Efficiency Program (SEE) |
The School Energy Efficiency Program is available to qualifying private and public K-12 school districts in nineteen counties in PG&E´s service territory. The goal of the program is to reduce energy costs and improve the learning environment. Administered by Resource Solutions Group (RSG), the program offers technical services and cash incentives to assist districts in identifying, developing and implementing cost-effective energy efficient building improvement strategies.
Energy audits are conducted to identify the most cost-effective building upgrades to implement. A comprehensive energy management plan is developed for each participant that describes energy efficiency measures to implement, promoting those measures with the highest Internal Rate of Return and energy savings that will meet the housing facility´s specific operational needs.
Customers who commit to installing the recommended upgrades can receive direct project implementation assistance including:
Energy efficiency training and networking opportunities are conducted to discuss topics ranging from maintenance of existing equipment to the financial and technical evaluation of energy efficient building improvements.
Incentives will be given in the form of IS Services, cash incentives and bonuses. An overall Project Incentive amount will be calculated (equivalent to PG&E´s incentives for the same measures), based on each measure identified for implementation and the level of IS Services requested, with bonus cash incentives offered for early adoption and quick installation.

The SEE Program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts. This program may be modified or terminated without notice. Program services are offered at no direct cost to participating districts. The program period runs from August 4, 2006 to December 31, 2008. Projects must be completed by October 31, 2008.
